The Urinary pH Test measures how acidic or alkaline the urine is.
It is a quick bedside or laboratory test done using pH indicator strips. Urinary pH is an important indicator of kidney function, metabolic status, urinary tract infections, and stone formation. This test helps to identify type of kidney stones, useful in urinary tract Infection diagnosis and also helps monitor drug therapy.
